For the first time in a long time (so long that I can’t remember the last time it happened), I have a weekend free of work and other obligations. And so far, so very good.
I awoke this morning and looked at the clock. 9:50! YES!!! I never sleep that late, but, clearly, I needed it.
I made tea and had several cups while I talked with my mom on the phone. I’m so grateful for my mom.
I thoroughly cleaned my house while blasting my eclectic mix of music via my appleTV, thanks to my kids’ thoughtful Christmas gift. How eclectic? First four songs on shuffle: Coldplay/Rihanna, Tim McGraw, The Cars, and Creed.
Laundry done? Check.
I got my car washed for $5.00.
Bought a caramel cinnamon latte at Grassroots. And got a great parking place for that.
Drove with my sunroof open. Sunshine, music, and fresh air.
Grocery shopping. This was the only glitch to my day, and that’s because I erred in going to Walmart on a Saturday afternoon. As I stood trapped in a slow checkout line behind dead ringers for Honey BooBoo’s family, I wondered if saving money was worth it. But it’s done now, and I survived. 😉
Desk cleaned out and organized. That means I used lots of folders, my beloved label maker, and the shredder. Fun!
Leftover pizza for supper.
Time to read. And watch some television. And blog. 🙂
