some random thoughts

~ Every time a new season rolls around, I think it’s my favorite one — except for winter.

~ If Obama had as tough a press corps as President Bartlett on the West Wing, he’d be hurting.

~ I’m on a West Wing kick.

~ The time change has messed me up. It stays light so late that I don’t realize how late it’s getting. I end up eating supper at 8:00. That’s way too close to my bedtime.

~ I’m an early riser.

~ Everyone fusses at the photographer (my daughter calls me the mamarazzi), but then they’re glad to have the photos.

~ I’ve been away from the South for a long time now, and I’m glad to be back. I love all the local words and phrases: fixin’ to, bless your heart, acting ugly, throwed a fit, Lord ‘a mercy… Β They’re like extra salt & pepper on a conversation.

~ The entire surface of southwest Georgia is covered with a dusting of pollen.

~ My allergies are driving me crazy.

~ Everyone should have to work retail at some point in their life. It would make for better customers.

~ Nearly everyone in my town is on spring break this week. I’m not, but my diet & exercise plan has apparently run off to the beach. I’m assured it will be back Sunday evening.

~ After over a year of letting my hair grow out past shoulder length, I recently had it cut really short again. I’m still not sure how I feel about it.

~ I’m grateful for friends — both near and far.

Happy Friday!

  1. I always like your random thoughts posts. πŸ™‚ And I agree with the salt-and-pepper-Southern-comment language decorations! Oh, and “mamarazzi”! What a hoot!

so what do you think?
