Today was a much needed break after a very long, school-filled, sleep-deprived week.
~ The day started out dreary and chilly (in the 40s).
~ I worked at my paying job this morning.
~ The sun came out.
~ I headed down to Tallahassee for a long overdue pedicure, stopping off at Starbucks on the way. The woman next to me at the nail salon was texting while her four or five-year-old son twirled around on a stool and climbed up in the chair next to me and tried to entertain himself. She was clearly checked out, and I was having trouble relaxing because he was all over the place. Then I realized that I shouldn’t be more worried about him than *she* was, so I picked up my Kindle and checked out, too. Now my toes are a cheery shade of coral. 🙂
~ I stopped off for some groceries. I’m craving a Greek salad, so I stocked up on the ingredients.
~ I pulled back the sunroof and turned up my music.
~ Once home, I tended to my plants and decided to sit outside and soak up some of that sunshine for a little while. That made me really drowsy.
~ I took a little nap.
~ I vegged out on some television. I resisted the urge to turn on the news. I’ve been so annoyed by the coverage of the Boston bombing. There is very little news and lots of speculation. When I heard a psychiatrist diagnosing the suspect and his family using only information he’s heard of through television coverage, I knew that they had too much time on their hands.
~ I’m about to put away my books and notes from this last semester and watch Hatfields & McCoys.
~ I’m NOT going to study. I’m NOT going to write a paper.
I hope your Saturday has been a good one,
