  1. Our collection is about half of that but Ansley still tries to get me to use a different color for each toe nail. Such a fun mother/daughter thing!

  2. In one of the amusing collections of political essays that P.J. O’Rourke put together in the early Nineties, he wrote about the dismantling of the Berlin Wall and some of the under-reported challenges that former residents of East Germany now faced — things like choices. I think O’Rourke said they’d never before had to ask themselves even simple questions like “one ply or two?” On the other hand, economic change meant that they’d “no longer have to settle for Bulgarian shoes.”

    • After living in Europe for a couple of years & shopping only in small markets, my daughter says cereal aisles in the US really overwhelm her.
