Today was a really good day. Caroline and I hit the road this morning after stopping off for coffee and a car wash.
She needed some driving time as she’s working towards getting her drivers license. (She was in Europe when American teens typically get their drivers license. In Europe, teens can’t drive until 18.)
We’ve been away from water for a couple of years now, and we needed a dose of sun, sand, surf — and some shopping — so we were beach bound.
We laughed a lot, sang really loud, and enjoyed time together. And, of course, I took photos:
Now we’re safely home (Thank You, Lord!), and we both agree that it was a good day. I’m grateful for my daughter, her company, her laugh (and her snort!), her driving skills, her smile, her voice, her sense of humor, and her heart.
