I have a good reason for letting the blog lie dormant for the past week or so, after finally rousing it from its long hibernation: I’m a grandmother! My daughter and her husband just had the sweetest little baby girl, and she’s my first grandchild. I’ve been in Chattanooga celebrating and snuggling.
Kenna was born on her due date, and mom and baby are healthy and happy. She’s a tiny little girl who gets sweeter and prettier every day! I soaked up the cuddling and kisses and soft baby skin and yummy baby smell as much as I could, and I miss her terribly now that I’m back home.
It’s a bonus that my son and his wife live in Chattanooga, too, so I was able to stay with them. I had such a good week visiting with my peeps! And then I came home to Paul and a spotlessly clean home. 🙂
So now I’m that grandmother — the one who always has pictures at the ready:
We decided she looked like my daughter’s Bitty Baby on her first day.
Lots of hair for her mama to style.
The princess is home.
Sweet baby feet
My job was to keep her paci in.
Can’t get enough.
precious baby girl
What a wonderful week with my new granddaughter and my children. I’m grateful beyond words.
With a full and happy heart,
(also known as Granne)
